1408 Story

Once upon a time in Hollywood, California…
I kicked Bruce Willis's ass. It was in a movie called "Color Of Night".
That movie sucked.
"1408" doesn't. Far from it. It's co-written by the guys who created "The Matrix", adapted from a story that was written by the guy who wrote" The Shining" and directed by some Swedish dude who had a movie nominated for an Academy Award and then went on to direct a movie that did suck: "Derailed." But give the guy a break – he had to deal with Brad Pitt's drippy ex-wife in that one.

In "1408" he gets to work with a much better actor – perhaps one of the greatest actors that has ever washed up on the shores of American cinema - Sir John Cusack.
That's right. I just knighted the man. He's that good. Cusack is famous for cranking out Cameron Crowe monologues in "Say Anything" and Nick Hornby monologues in the courageously pragmatic romantic comedy "High Fidelity".
But there are no monologues in "1408". Just Cusack in a haunted hotel room. And he nails it.

So do yourself a favor - watch "1408". Then throw on "High Fidelity". Then fire off an email thanking me for showing you the way.

1408 is an awesome horror movie and seeing
Cusack in a movie like this just makes it a lot better!
